The Richmond Netball
Association was established over 17 years ago in an effort to
provide structured netball competitions for the local community
including school groups and individual community
members.
We commenced junior
competitions on an ashphalt netball court at one of the local
schools with approx. 15 children and as interest grew, we lobbied
the local council for a more suitable netball venue within the City
of Yarra. After years of lobbying, the Ryan’s Reserve complex was
built and has been our home ever since.
This year we boast a
membership of 735 competitors (that's 720 more than when we
started)!
All
competitions are played on the four outdoor Rebound Synpave
acrylic surfaced courts (slip resistant) at Ryan's Reserve, corner
Swan & Stawell Streets, Richmond (opposite 7-11).
Ryan’s Reserve is accessible
by car, tram or train and there is plenty of on-street parking
available.
We run competitions for
Rookies, 11/U, 13/U, 15/U and Tiger League (14 - 19 years),
as well as a development program 'Net Set Go' for 5 - 11 year olds
who have little or no netball experience. We have
Representative teams for the Associations best junior players,
netball round robins & tournaments, ladies open
competitions, umpires courses & programs, as well as coaching
courses & workshops.
We cater for everyone and
welcome new members.
RNA appreciates Grill'd
Richmond's sponsorship of our Junior Encouragement Awards and
acknowledges their support of our competition.
